Whole House Renovations: South Carolina Avenue Residence
The owners of this Victorian bay front loved its location and size, but wanted to open it up and add a few architectural features that better reflected their style. An interest in both an Arts and Crafts and Asian aesthetic was expressed in the woodwork throughout the first floor. Separate spaces were defined by the woodwork, yet completely open to each other. More traditional Capitol Hill detailing was used in the basement and second floors, and a new roof deck was added off an existing partial third floor.
