Kitchen Renovation, Potomac Avenue

The original kitchen in this row house was in need of an update, and it was visually separated from the living spaces by a narrow doorway and a mechanical closet. The mechanical systems were relocated and made more compact. The kitchen was renovated in place, and the small doorway was opened up to create an arched opening over a large peninsula. The dropped ceiling was removed and the ceiling is now vaulted with skylights.
